Pen drive
What is Pen drive?

A pen drive is a portable Universal Serial Bus (USB) flash memory device for storing and transferring audio, video, and data files from a computer. As long as the desktop or laptop has a USB port, and the pen drive is compatible with the operating system, it should be easy to move the data from the hard drive to the device — and to another computer — in a matter of minutes.

Data Transfer Speeds using Pen drive:

The actual transfer speed depends upon several factors, such as the computer's speed at reading and writing to the device. Generally, a pen drive's advertised speed is the reading speed because it is faster than the speed at which data can be written to it.

A guideline of our standard flash drive read/write speeds is as follows:

USB 2.0:

Sequential write (when copy data computer to pen drive) speed  range = 4~10 MB/s
Sequential read (when copy data pen drive to computer) speed range = 15~25 MB/s

USB 3.0:

Sequential write (when copy data computer to pen drive) speed range =10~20 MB/s
Sequential read (when copy data pen drive to computer) speed range = 40~50 MB/s

To know your pendrive write & read speed you should download a utility software. Example: USBDeview Software.

How to use it:

Using a pen drive is simple. Inserts Pen drive into the USB port on a desktop or laptop. Once the drive is active, you can find it as Removable storage drive beside your hard disk drive. Now you can use it like your hard disk drive.
